Gualeguaychú is a city in the province of Entre Ríos, in eastern Argentina, near the border with Uruguay. It is known for its annual Carnival celebration that takes place in the Corsódromo, a converted old train station. The city stretches along the west bank of the Gualeguaychú river, with numerous beaches. It also houses 2 thermal baths. On the other side of the river is the wide and lush Parque Unzué, with a lagoon, trails, playgrounds and picnic sites.
