Manuel Belgrano was who, for the first time, held high the Argentine flag, symbolizing the unity of the provinces of the Río de la Plata that wished to consecrate themselves as an independent nation.
That is why every year on this date we remember its creator and celebrate our greatest patriotic symbol.
Did you know who made it?
María Catalina Echeverría was in charge of sewing and joining the light blue and white colors with golden threads, giving life to the first flag of Argentina!
