The history of winegrowing began a century ago, when #EntreRíos was the fourth winemaking province in the country. In 1910 there were 4,900 hectares cultivated with vines. A law enacted in the 1930s limited the activity to the Cuyo region and the wineries had to close.
In 2007, winegrowing began to be reactivated in Colón. With the consolidation of wine tourism, Entre Ríos made a difference and today we are one of the 14 provinces recognized by the National Institute of Viticulture as a wine producer.
The climate, humidity and land of this area are suitable for vineyards, which is between 20 and 30 meters above sea level. The province has approximately 70 vineyards, four wineries, seven artisanal winemakers and several people who make homemade wines. All of very varied and notable production, with strains of Chardonnay, Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tannat and Sangiovesse.
