Angastaco is a town in the department of San Carlos, province of Salta, Argentina; in the Calchaquí Valleys. It is accessed by RN 40.

The town itself has: an inn, a Civic Center with a small archaeological museum, a church that stands out in one corner of the plaza. It has crafts, with regional wines and «pateros» and mistela of incomparable perfume. All this means that Angastaco is not a place for tourists in a hurry who are satisfied with taking a look to continue their journey in search of new scenarios. In Angastaco you have to stay a few days to enjoy its good things and its good people.
